1. Generating CSR (Certificate Signing Request).
(We will do it for you if your website is hosted with us)
The CSR is generated by the website hosting server. So, you need to contact your hosting company to get CSR.
Your hosting company will provide two keys: One for getting the certificate, this is the CSR you need to submit in step 2. Another one is a private key which will be needed to setup your SSL, you'll use it in step 3. Note: please keep this private key in save place for reinstallation of your SSL certificate. more info...
2. Submit the CSR and company(or personal) information.
This starts the certification process.
Your CSR and company information will be verified.
Once the verification is completed, your SSL certificate will be generated and emailed to you.
3. Setup your SSL certificate.
This is done at your web site server. Upon receiving your SSL certificate, forward it to your hosting company, together with the private key obtained in step 1 above. Then, you are done. The rest is your web hosting company or system manager's work. Once it's completed, your web site will become secure server enabled with your private SSL certificate. To access the secure server, simply change "http" to "https" in your page link.
